Gas Exchange
The process in the lungs where blood picks up oxygen and releases carbon dioxide.

The widening of blood vessels, which decreases blood pressure.

The process by which the stability of plaques in arteries is maintained to prevent ruptures that can lead to clots.

An irregular heartbeat, which can contribute to complications such as heart failure or stroke.
