What was the Boston Massacre?
The Boston Massacre was a heated fight between the Red Coats and Bostonians on March 5, 1770. In Boston, townspeople carrying rocks and simple weapons marched toward the customhouse. They threw rocks at the redcoats, and the redcoats, feeling threatened fired at them, killing 5 colonists. It led to stronger boycotts on British goods, and Colonial leaders used it as propaganda against the British.

The Boston Tea Party took place on December 16, 1773. The Sons of Liberty, dressed as Mohawks, boarded ships loaded with British tea and threw 342 boxes of tea overboard into the ocean.
