Reversible reactions
Chemical reactions that can go in both, forward and backward directions.
Forward reaction
The reaction as written, towards products, in the direction of the reaction arrow in a reversible reaction.
Backward reaction
Reaction in which reactants are produced from products and it goes from right to left in a reversible reaction.
Haber process
An industrial process for producing ammonia from nitrogen and hydrogen by combining them under high pressure in the presence of an iron catalyst.
Iron
A transition element and a metal also used a catalyst in the Haber process.
Catalyst
A substance that initiates or accelerates a chemical reaction without itself being affected.
