Spurning

A repeated pattern or extreme incidents of caretaker(s) that prevent the child’s basic needs and convey that a child is unwanted

Exploiting/Corrupting

Caregiver acts that encourage a child to develop inappropriate behaviors and attitudes

Terrorizing

Caregiver behavior that threatens or is likely to physically hurt, kill, abandon, or place the child in recognizably dangerous or frightening places

Emotional Unresponsiveness

Caregiver acts that ignore the child’s attempts and needs to interact and showing to no emotion in interaction with the child
