Rubber Gloves
Required on all energized work, including Minimum Approach Distance (MAD) and Lock to Lock.
Job Briefing/Tailboard Conference
MUST include Hazard Identification and Risk Mitigation and be documented before every work session.
Approved head protection
Will be worn by everyone in the area of overhead work and whenever the possibility of injury to the head may occur.
Safety glasses approved by the company or approved prescription eyewear
Shall be worn when working on or near energized equipment and must meet ANSI-Z87 standards.
Appropriate work gloves
Shall be worn when the risk of a hand injury can occur.
DE-ENERGIZE
When cutting, splicing, or connecting conductors, buses, or apparatus, this is the FIRST choice for equipment above 50 volts.
Approved grounding procedures and devices
When conductors, equipment, and apparatus are de-energized for work, they shall be grounded with these.
Line hoses, blankets, hoods, line guards, pole guards, etc.
Shall be thoroughly inspected prior to use and used to cover all live conductors.
