Canon

A group devoted to the law and Torah; not politically powerful.
Sadducees
A powerful group associated with the Temple; denied the existence of angels and the resurrection.
Essenes
A separatist group known for their apocalyptic beliefs.
Zealots
People who wanted to overthrow the Romans.
Ascension
Jesus’ return to Heaven after his resurrection.
Apostle
Someone who knew Jesus in life, walked with Him, and learned from His teachings.

Non-Jews who believed in and worshiped the Jewish God without fully converting.
