Hortatory

Translate: “let us”
1st. Plural Subjunctive Independent Clause

Deliberative

Translate: “Should we do X or Y?…”

+πότερον “What are we to do?”

1st Person Plural Subjunctive, Independent Clause

Prohibitive

Translate: μή + Sub. = “Do not do….”
2nd Person Singular or Plural, Independent clause

Purpose

Translate: “We are doing X so that we may…”

Introduced by: ‘ινα, όπως, ώς, μή, ώς μή
Suboordinate clause, any verbs forms

Conditional

Translate: “X, if you Y.”

Introduced by εαν
Also a dependent clause and can use any vocab forms

Fearing

Translation: I am afraid that X will join Y”

Introduced by μή/κινδθνος εστιν
Dependent Claus

Indefinite Relative Clause

Translate: a general reference without specificity “Whoever, whatever, etc”
Introduced by άν + Sub.

Indefinite Temporal Clause

Translate: a general reference to time without any known cut off points
Introduced by άν + Sub. and εί
Can have a negative clause, usually πριν is used in that case
