Prevalence
The proportion of a population with a particular health condition or disease at a specified time.
Incidence proportion
The proportion of a population newly developing a disease over a specified period of time; often used interchangeably with risk.
Case Fatality Rate (CFR)
The proportion of people who die from a specified disease among all individuals diagnosed with that disease over a certain period.
Risk ratio
The ratio of the risk in the exposed group to the risk in the unexposed group.
Odds ratio
The ratio of the odds in the exposed group to the odds in the unexposed group.
Measures of association
Calculations that explain the relationship between exposure and disease outcomes.
Risk difference
The difference between the risk in the exposed group and the risk in the unexposed group.
Rate difference
The difference between the rate in the exposed group and the rate in the unexposed group.
Incident Rate
The number of newly developing cases per unit of person-time during follow-up.
Prevalence odds
Calculated as prevalence divided by (1-prevalence).
