Contour Lines
Connects points of equal altitude (elevation above sea level) on a map.
Altitude
The number marked on a contour line indicates this - how many metres above sea level that area is.
Slope
The closer the contour lines, the steeper this is.
Groundwater
Water that sinks into the ground and becomes filtered and clean.
Run Off
Water that flows over the ground, picking up impurities.
Evaporation
When heat from the sun turns water from a liquid to a vapour.
Condensation
Invisible water vapour cools and forms tiny droplets of pure water.
