RDP
All editions except Home support RDP
BitLocker
All editions except Home support BitLocker, although Home has it own more basic encryption device called Device encryption. It offers encryption but not the same level of control as BitLocker.
Group policy editor (Gpedit.msc)
All editions except Home support GPO, while pro offers GPO it is not as extensive as the enterprise version of GPO.
Windows workgroups
All editions of windows support joining a workgroup, a workgroup is a peer to peer network where each computer manages its own user accounts and security settings. Workgroups lack centralized management, workgroup are often found in small office or home networks dur to their simplicity.
Windows domain
All editions except Home can join a domain, a domain provides a centralized active directory database to manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies for all computers within the domain. A user in a domain can login to any computer in the domain with there credentials, while a workgroup computer has a local account(s). Both support resource sharing such as files and printers but domain is offers more control. Domains will often be found in bigger organizations where management and security are priority.
