Oral Stage
0-18 months, pleasure centers on the mouth- sucking, biting, chewing
Anal Stage
(18-36 months) pleasure focuses on bowel and bladder elimination; coping with demands for control.
Phallic Stage
Freud's third stage of personality development, from about age 4 through age 7, during which children obtain gratification primarily from the genitals.
Latency Stage
The fourth psychosexual stage, in which the primary focus is on the further development of intellectual, creative, interpersonal, and athletic skills and is ages 6-7 through 12.
Genital Stage
Freud's last stage of personality development, from the onset of puberty through adulthood, during which the sexual conflicts of childhood resurface (at puberty) and are often resolved during adolescence and lasts from 12 years of age into adulthood.
