Kinetic Particle Theory
All matter is made of tiny particles that are always moving.
Covalent Bond
A bond where two atoms share electrons.
Ionic Bond
A bond where one atom gives away an electron and another atom takes it.
Hydrogen Bond
A weak bond between molecules with hydrogen and either oxygen, nitrogen, or fluorine.
Solubility
How well a substance can dissolve in another, like salt in water.

A layer in the ocean where salinity changes quickly.
pH Scale
Measures if a solution is acid, neutral, or base based on hydrogen ions.
Universal Indicator
Paper that changes color to show if a solution is acidic or basic.
Density of Seawater
How compact seawater is, affected by temperature, pressure, and salinity.
Ocean Layers
Different layers in the ocean based on temperature and salt content.
