Set up in 2014 to promote fair competition between businesses and protect the interest of consumers. Investigates businesses breaking the rules.

Consumer Association of Ireland

Non-profit organisation working on behalf of Irish consumers. Protects these rights. Represent views and interests. Gives advice support + info.

Advertising Standard Authority of Ireland

Makes the rules for advertisers to follow. Confirms all advertisements are legal, decent, honest and true.

Ombudsman

A representative of the people. Investigates complaints from people who feel they have been unfairly treated by a public body. Free service.

Trade Association

Investigates problems consumers have against specific industry’s. E.g. SIMI

Small Claims Court

Quick, cheap, easy way to resolve a complaint about a faulty good or poor quality service. No solicitor required. Fee of 25-2000.
