Confirmatory

A type of analysis designed to answer certain study questions, which motivates including certain terms in the model.

Exploratory

a type of analysis which searches among many models to provide clues about which predictors are associated with the response.

Multicollinearity

Correlation among explanatory variables: a variable seems to have little effect because it overlaps considerably with other predictors in the model. Warning signs: small p-value for the overall likelihood ratio test but lack of significance for individual effects. Variance inflation factor> 5

Akaike information criterion

It measures how close the fitted values are to the true expected values.
