~1 trillion bytes; can store about 200 FHD movies.
CPU Cache
A chip-based computer component that makes retrieving data from the computer's memory more efficient.
Permanent Storage
Refers to data storage solutions that retain information even when they're not powered up.
Access Time
The time it takes for the drive to locate the data to be accessed, measured in milliseconds.
Data Transfer Rate
The speed at which data can be transferred from one component to another, measured in Megabits per second (Mb/s) or Megabytes per second (MB/s).
Clock Speed
Measured in GHz, it indicates the time it takes to complete a cycle in the CPU.
Bus Speed
Measured in MHz, it is the speed at which data can move across the motherboard.
Network
A system of interconnected devices (computers, servers, smartphones, printers, etc.) that communicate and share resources (data, internet, storage, applications) through wired or wireless connections.
VPN
Virtual Private Network extends a private network over a public network to improve the privacy and security of a network connection.

The main job of a router is to direct traffic by transferring packets to their destinations using different network topologies.
Hub
A multiport device that connects multiple Ethernet devices into a single broadcast network segment, which makes them prone to traffic congestion.
Gateway
A device that connects different networks and enables communication between them, acting as a translator for data protocols.
Bridge
A device that connects two or more network segments and filters the traffic between them.
Network Cables
A physical medium to connect devices in a computer network.
Modem
A device that converts digital signals into analog signals of different frequencies for transmission.
