Starter-Generator Systems
A system that provides electrical power to the aircraft and is capable of operating with either a battery or an external power source.
Battery Relay
A switch that connects or disconnects battery power to the electrical bus.
Ignition Relay Contactor
A component that allows current to flow to the ignition system when activated.
Power Lever Switch
A switch that controls the power lever in the starter-generator system.
Undercurrent Relay
A relay that disconnects power from the starter-generator and ignition when sufficient engine speed is reached.
Emergency Stop Relay
A relay that provides a safeguard by cutting off electrical power in emergencies.
Hung Start
A condition when the engine fails to reach sufficient speed to stop starter rotation during a start attempt.
Fuel Solenoid Valve
A valve that controls fuel flow to the engine based on the relay signals.
Current Flow
The movement of electrical charge through circuits, crucial for the operation of various components in the starter-generator system.
External Power Source
An external supply of electrical power that can be connected to the aircraft, typically supplementing or replacing battery power.
