Refers to the evolution of the web, emphasizing collaboration, sharing, and user-generated content.
Transactional Model
A model representing the dynamic and reciprocal nature of interpersonal communication.
Reduce Social Cues
The absence of certain nonverbal signals in mediated communication that affects interactions.
Affordances of CMC
Possibilities for action provided by computer-mediated communication that differ from face-to-face interaction.
Editability
The ability to revise a message before sending it in computer-mediated communication.
Asynchronous Communication
Communication that does not occur in real-time, allowing time to consider a response.
