DISTANCE

Distance is the actual length measured along the path moved by an object

DISPLACEMENT

This is the distance moved in a specified direction

Displacement between three points on the Cartesian plane

D = √[(𝑥2−𝑥1)2+ (𝑦2−𝑦1)2+(𝑧2−𝑧1)2]

displacement between two points on the Cartesian plane

D = √(𝑥2−𝑥1)2+ (𝑦2−𝑦1)2

Position

A vector quantity that defines the location of a point in space relative to a reference point, typically expressed in coordinates.

position is the location of a point/object with respect to a reference point.
