13.8 billion years ago the universe started as a tiny hot dense point, it expanded quickly, cooled down, and formed stars and planets (matter)

Evolutionary Theory

A scientific explanation for how living things change over millions of years, developing from earlier life forms through small changes.

Cosmological Argument

A philosophical argument that everything has a cause, so the universe must have a "first cause" (God) that started everything because the Earth cannot cause itself.

Teleological Argument

An argument that the universe is so complex and orderly it must have a designer (God), just like a watch must have a watchmaker, because everything appears to have been made for a specific purpose.
