It is valid until the owner changes, theres any type of accident or the aircraft is taken out of service

How long does an owner have to notify Transport Canada about a change in address?

7 days

What is the procedure for selling/transfer ownership of an aircraft (with the c.o.r)

You fill out the back page, keep the pink part and send the other one to TC, the pink one you keep is valid for 60days or until TC sends you a new one

How long is the Certificate of Airworthiness valid for?

For 1 year

What can invalidate a Certificate of Air worthiness?

-aircraft is not properly maintained

-aircraft is operated outside of its limitations

-there is a major or minor accident

The aircraft manufacturer

What is the difference between Utility and Normal category of a/c

Normal Category: any aircraft that has seating for 9 or less (excluding pilot) and are limited to non-aerobatic operations

Utility Aircraft: same as normal but can be used for LIMITED aerobatic operations (ex. Spins, 60 degreee turns)

Is an aircraft considered airworthy is it is overloaded?Why?

No because it invalidates the weight and balance limitations set out by manufacturer which makes it non airworthy

How often must an aircraft be re-weighed?

if it's weight changes by more than 2% for our aircraft, aircraft over 12500lbs have to be weighed every 5 years

Yes unless you are landing at the same place you departed from

Airtime is wheels up to wheels down

Flight time is as soon as the wheels move to as soon as they stop
