asexual

a person who does not experience sexual attraction to any gender

bisexual

a person whose physical, emotional, and/or romantic attraction may be for the people of the same gender or difference gender

celibate

a person who abstains from sexual activity

coming out

a continual process of revealing one’s sexual orientation or gender identity to others

gay

a person whose physical, emotional, and/or romantic attraction is for people of the same sex

lesbian

a woman whose physical, emotional, and/or romantic attraction is for other women

LGBTQ

acronym for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender, and queer

non-binary

a person whose gender identity does not fit into the category of man or woman

pansexual

a person whose physical, emotional, and/or romantic attraction is for the people of the opposite sex

straight

a person whose physical, emotional, and/or romantic attraction is for the people of the opposite sex

transgender

a person whose gender identity differs from the sex assigned at birth due to anatomy with his or with her birth sex

transition

the process of changing genders; which can include legal procedures, medical measure, pronoun use
