Complementary colors
Colors located directly opposite one another on the color wheel
Triadic colors
using three colors that are equal distance apart on the color wheel
Typography
the style, arrangement, and appearance of text
Serif
A font that has small lines at the beginning and end of characters and that is usually used with large amounts of text.
San Serif
A typeface that excludes the small features that appear at the end of strokes in serif typefaces; a cleaner typeface that is widely used for headings, signs, and material where continuous reading is not required.
Display font
A font that has been designed to look good at large point sizes, often for use in headlines.
Hierarchy
shows the importance of where the eye should look first

Repetition
Repeated use of objects and texts to effect and emphasis
