What is SI units?
SI units, or International System of Units, are the standard metric units used in science and engineering to measure physical quantities, including length, mass, and time.
What does “m” stand for in SI units?
The letter "m" stands for meter, which is the SI unit of length.
What does “kg” stand for in SI units?
The letter "kg" stands for kilogram, which is the SI unit of mass.
What does “s” stand for in SI units?
The letter "s" stands for second, which is the SI unit of time.
What does “a” stand for in SI units?
The letter "a" stands for ampere, which is the SI unit of electric current.
What does “k” stand for in SI units?
The letter "k" stands for kelvin, which is the SI unit of temperature.
What does “mol” stand for in SI units?
The letter "mol" stands for mole, which is the SI unit of amount of substance.
What does “cd” stand for in SI units?
The letter "cd" stands for candela, which is the SI unit of luminous intensity.
what is the prefix (kilo-) factor?
The prefix "kilo-" represents a factor of one thousand (10^3) in the International System of Units (SI).
what is the prefix (milli-) factor?
The prefix "milli-" represents a factor of one thousandth (10^-3) in the International System of Units (SI).
what is the prefix (micro-) factor?
The prefix "micro-" represents a factor of one millionth (10^-6) in the International System of Units (SI).
what is the prefix (nano-) factor?
The prefix "nano-" represents a factor of one billionth (10^-9) in the International System of Units (SI).
What is the symbol for the prefix (micro-)?
The symbol for the prefix "micro-" is "μ".

How do we convert (ex. m to cm, or cm to m)
Conversion involves multiplying or dividing by powers of ten, based on the metric system. For example, to convert meters to centimeters, multiply by 100; to convert centimeters to meters, divide by 100.
how do we solve questions like force of ___N is applied. How much accelerated at _ m/s²? what formula?
To find acceleration when a force is applied, use Newton's second law: F = ma, where F is the force in Newtons, m is the mass in kilograms, and a is the acceleration in m/s². Rearranging gives a = F/m.
Energy = ___ x ____
Force x Distance
Dimensional Analysis: what is the method for checking equations? ex. speed. what are some other you can check?
Dimensional analysis is a method used to check the consistency of equations by ensuring that both sides have the same dimensions. For example, speed can be checked using the equation for distance over time (d/t), and other quantities like force, energy, and pressure can also be analyzed for dimensional consistency.
