What does having an open circulatory system mean?
Hemolymph is not completely enclosed in a system of tubes and vessels.

Located in the head, thorax, and anterior abdomen. Its a simple conduit for hemolymph.
Where is heart located and what is its purpose?
Its located in the abdomen and consist of segmentally arranged chambers that draw in hemolymph through valved ostia and pump it anteriorly.

They are contractile organs and they help to drive hemolymph in appropriate directions.
