Population

A large group that includes everything being studied.

Sample

A small portion of the population used to gather data from.

Simple Random Sample

A sampling method where each individual has an equal chance of being selected.

Systematic Sampling Method

Stratified Random Sample

A sampling method where the population is divided into strata, and random samples are taken from each stratum.

Cluster Random Sample

A sampling method where entire groups (clusters) are randomly selected.

Convenience Sampling

A sampling method where samples are taken from a group that is easy to reach.

Voluntary Response

A sampling method where individuals choose to respond to a survey.

Census

A data collection method that includes all individuals in a population.

Biased Sampling

A sampling method that does not accurately represent the population, leading to biased results.

Systematic Random Sampling

A form of random sampling that selects individuals based on a fixed interval.

Self Selected Sample

A sampling method where individuals take it upon themselves to participate.
