A character is struggling because of other character’s decision or action.

A character is struggling because of unexpected event in the environment.

A character is struggling because of the beliefs and rules of the society.

What is plot

The list and sequence of events in the story.

The 5 parts of plot are

Exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution

Introduces the characters, setting, and conflict.

Rising action

Part when protagonist faces crisis

Climax

The most interesting and breathtaking point of the story

Falling action

Happens after the climax, reveals the consequences.

Resolution

Tells what happens to the characters after the problem or conflict is being resolved.

Theme

Is what a story is all about, the central idea or main message the author wants his readers to understand.
