The Widow Douglas
Women who takes Huck in and tries to civilize him. She gives him clothes and food and tries to teach him religion. Took snuff, but wouldn't let Huck smoke. Tries to get him away from his father after he comes back to town. Kind to Huck, good nature.
Miss Watson
Tolerable slim old maid (never married) who comes to live with Widow Douglas, has goggles (glasses) and tries to teach spelling to Huck. She owns Jim but she was going to sell him to 'Orleans for $800 to a slave trader, even though she didn't want to.

The superstitious slave of Miss Watson, Huck and Tom play a prank where they hung is hat on the branch and left a nickel. He has a hairball from the stomach of an ox, runs away to Jackson's Island and joins Huck

Huck's best friend with a vivid imagination. He creates the band of robbers, who murder and plunder. He sees Arabs, Spanish soldiers elephants and camels in a Sunday school picnic.

The father of Huck who everybody thought drowned. He loves whiskey and beating Huck and has a cross on the bottom of his left boot. The new Judge reforms him, but he goes back to being a drunk. He wants Huck's money and complains about the government.

Kind Judge who keeps Huck's money for him and invests it for him, he get's it sold to him to keep it from Pap. Tries to get Huck away from Pap but fails and goes to court over the money.
New Judge
A man who tries to reform Pap, and doesn't want to split up the Huck's family.

Huck's girl disguise with Mrs. Loftus, which she soon sees through. Was supposedly looking for uncle Abner Moore because her mom was sick.

lady who inadvertently lets Huck know that her husband and some men are headed to Jackson's Island to search for Jim, he comes to her cabin and she catches him in his lies and gives him advice about "being a girl."
