Clayton Antitrust Act

Created by Wilson, outlawed certain practices that restricted competition, banned price discrimination

13th Amendment

Abolished slavery

15th Amendment

Gave black men the right to vote

Hepburn Act

Created by Roosevelt, gave commission power to set railroad rates

Meat Inspection Act

Created by Roosevelt, required agricultural department to set standards of cleanliness in meat packing plants

Pure Food and Drug Act

Created by Roosevelt, prohibited the manufacture, sale, or shipment of impure/falsely labeled food and drugs

Newlands Reclamation Act

Created by Roosevelt, authorizes use of federal funds from public land sales to pay for irrigation + land development projects

Underwood Tariff Act

Passed by Wilson, reduced average tariff on imports, provided for levying income/direct taxes on individuals

Passed by Wilson, created 12 regional banks to be supervised by a Board of Governers

Keating-Owen Child Labor Act

Created by Wilson, prohibited employment of kids under 14 (Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional because it wasn't interstate commerce)

Defined citizenship to include blacks

Income Tax: Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes
