King William’s War (1689-1697)
The first of the French and Indian Wars, King William's War involved conflicts between French and English colonies in North America, primarily due to territorial disputes and alliances with Native American tribes.
Queen Anne’s War (1702-1713)
The second of the French and Indian Wars, Queen Anne's War was fought between French and English colonies, largely influenced by the War of the Spanish Succession in Europe, and saw significant battles and territorial shifts in North America.
England eventually defeats France and their American Indian allies. Gained Nova Scotia from France and trading rights in Spanish America.
King George’s War (1744-1748)
The third of the French and Indian Wars, King George's War was fought between British and French colonies in North America, closely tied to the War of Austrian Succession in Europe, resulting in territorial gains for the British.

NE defeated France and controlled the St. Lawrence River. Agreed to give back some territory in return for political and economic gains in India.
New England colonists were furious about the trade that they had fought so hard to win.
Seven Years’ War (French and Indian War)
Fighting began in the colonies and then spread to Europe between France and England. By this time, both countries recognized importance of the colonies and shipped large numbers of troops to North American.
Known in Europe as “The Seven Years’ War”
The North America part of this world war is often called “The French and Indian War”
