What is the central limit theorem?
Even if the population we sampled from is not normally distributed, if we take many random samples and calculate their means, the distribution of those sample means will approach a normal distribution as sample size increases
Why is CLT important?
It allows us to do hypothesis testing because many of them require a normally distributed population
What are confidence intervals and p-values?
Confidence intervals (%) and p-values (decimal) are two different ways of expressing the same statistical evidence against a null hypothesis
How do you know if a null value is statistically significant?
If the null value is inside the CI → p > 0.05 (not significant)
If the null value is outside the CI → p < 0.05 (significant)
