Arrhenius Definition of Acids and Bases
Acids produce H+ in solution; bases produce OH- in solution.
Brønsted-Lowry Acids & Bases
Deals with the exchange of protons (H+).
B-L Acids
Donate protons (H+).
Hydronium
Ions that aqueous acids contain.
B-L Bases
Accept protons (H+).
