Resistor

Slows down the flow of electricity to protect other parts or how much current flows

Switch

Opens or closes a circuit, like a light switch. Allows to turn things on or off

Capacitor

Stores small amounts of electricity and releases it when needed like a mini battery

Relay

Acts like an automatic switch that uses small electrical signals to turn larger circuits on or off

Variable resistor

Like a resistor but you can adjust it to change how much current flows (volume controls)

Diode

Lets electricity flow in one direction like a one-way value. (used to protect circuits)

Transistor

Acts like a switch or amplifier. Can turn a circuit on/off or make weak signals stronger
