They have all been men, most have had an education, and many have been lawyers before they became president.

What is the electoral college?

A system that helps us decide who the president will be

How does the electoral college work?

Each state gets a certain amount of votes based on the number of representatives and senates that are in the state. you vote not for a president but for someone that will represent the president that you want. Then whichever president wins in that state they get the electoral votes for that state. Then whichever president wins the most electoral votes wins the election.

By getting at least 270 electoral votes and getting more then the other candidate
