Determine if the patient may need anesthetic
Step 1: Temp crown removal
Remove the temp crown
Clean any left over cement off of the tooth (may be sensitive)
Step 2: Crown try in
Place the permanent crown on the tooth
Take a bitewing x ray (PA x ray if the tooth is an anterior)
Get the doctor to review the x ray and check the fit clinically
Step 3: Cement the crown
Prepare the crown (Ivoclean, Monobond
Prepare the tooth (isolate with cotton rolls, pass Hemoseal to Dr)
Fill the crown with cement (RelyX Automix Luting Cement) and pass to Dr
Light cure
Step 4: Clean up Cement
Pass explorer and suction with HVE
Pass floss and hold crown
Pass explorer for final clean
Pass microbrush (rubber tip)
Step 5: Patient dismissal
Confirm home care instructions (24 hours of temp-like care
Check any remaining treatment needed
Check due appointments (restorative or hygiene)
Set appointment complete
Hand off to front office
