HDR

a high dynamic (HDR) technique used in imaging and photography to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity than is possible with standard digital imaging or photographic techniques

white balance

is the color balance on the camera. it ranges from the yello/hite light of the mid day sun to the purples and blues of sunrise and sunset

depth of field

describes how much of your scene will be in focus in front of and behind the subject matter

lighting

is the consideration of the amount of light that falls on the subject

a device used in photography to create artificial light temporarily

contrast

is reveled in photography as the difference between the darkest dark and the lightest light in an image and a limit of the mid tones

macro

refers to taking photographs using lens that can get extremely close to the subject matter. this can reveal the details of tiny things

panoramic

technique of photography, using specialized equipment or software, that captures images with horizontally elongated fields of view

timelapse

denoting the photographic technique of taking a sequence of frames at set intervals to record changes taht take place slowly over time. when the frames are shown at normal speed, or in quick succession, the action seems much faster, like stopmotion animation
