gustar
A verb meaning 'to please'; literally 'to be pleasing.' It is conjugated to agree with the thing that pleases and uses indirect object pronouns to show who is pleased.
indirect object pronoun
Pronouns (me, te, le, nos, os, les) that indicate to whom something is pleasing or done.
gusta
Third-person singular form of gustar; used when the thing that pleases is singular or when followed by an infinitive.
gustan
Third-person plural form of gustar; used when the thing that pleases is plural.
a + [noun/pronoun] (for emphasis)
Prepositional phrase added for emphasis or clarity (e.g., A mí, a ti) in gustar constructions.
A mí
Indicates 'to me' in the emphasis construction (as in 'A mí me gusta…').
A ti
Indicates 'to you' (informal) in the emphasis construction.

The verb agrees with the thing that pleases (the subject of the sentence), not with the person who is pleased.
