Baroque vs Romantic orchestra
Baroque orchestras (c. 1600-1750) were small, string-centered groups led by a harpsichord, featuring intricate, ornamented music. In contrast, Romantic orchestras (c. 1830-1900) were larger and more diverse, using expanded sections to create powerful, emotional, and dramatic sounds.
