A comparison is when the author shows how two or more things are alike or different. Helps you see a relationship between two things.
Two major points in comparison
1) The subjects being compared 2)The points of comparison

ex : Apples vs oranges

Two Organizational strategies

Subject by subject
You talk about one subject completely, then move on to another.
