Rhomboid minor and major
Muscles that originate from the spinous processes of thoracic vertebrae and insert at the medial border of the scapula, responsible for adduction and elevation of the scapula.
Pectoralis minor
Muscle that originates from the ribs and inserts at the coracoid process of the scapula, responsible for depression, abduction, and protraction of the scapula.
Trapezius
Muscle that originates from the external occipital protuberance and the spine of cervical and thoracic vertebrae, inserts at the clavicle and scapula, and is responsible for elevating, retracting, adducting, depressing, and rotating the scapula, as well as neck extension.
