A mechanism by which people choose their representatives at regular intervals and can change them if they wish to.
Why do we need elections?
In countries like India with large populations, it becomes impossible for their citizens to choose their policy.
Thus, we elect representatives to take these decisions for us - Representative Democracy.
Majority of people were not educated.
