denies her femininity, has to have it taken to become truly evil, thinks that she can change the nature order/ control the supernatural, highlights her niveity

lack of maternal instincts, she is not with God. Violence already within her, direct contrast to Lady Macduff.

Out dammed spot

she can’t rid herself of the guilt, it has stained her and thus will stay with her until she dies. It is on her hands so highlights that actions have consequences.

When you durst do it, then you were a man

she has control over Macbeth in the begining, she feels the want for total power- this then changes in her final scene where all she feels is guilt. She is manipulating Macbeth to get what she wants.
