Selfish Listener
Another name for a Level 1 listener—someone who pays attention only to personal impact rather than the speaker’s needs or emotions.
Level 2 Listening
An attentive listening style focused on the speaker’s words and intent; the listener seeks to understand the message’s importance to the speaker.
Level 3 Listening (Global Listening)
The highest form of active listening that combines intellectual understanding with emotional and physical attunement, mirroring the speaker’s tone and body language.
Global Listening
A synonym for Level 3 listening, emphasizing awareness of both spoken content and unspoken emotional cues.
Enthusiastic Listener
A person who practices Level 3 listening, displaying genuine excitement, empathy, and supportive body language, encouraging further communication.
