Dug Well
A type of well which is usually dug manually and is around 15m deep. Also known as “shallow well”.
Bored Well
A type of well which is similar to dug well but constructued using an auger driven in by hand or with power tools. Hand driven 15m, can reach 40m with power tools.
Jetted Well
A type of well which use of extreme water pressure so as not to affect existing foundations in the vicinity. Used only where ground is relatively soft, sometimes referred to as “Sand-Point Wells”
Driven Well
A type of well which is dug with sharp pointed hollow slotted iron rod and well screen. Can be 10-15m deep.
Drilled Well
A type of well which is used for drilling oil and can reach up to 1000m
Piston Pumps
A basic type of pump where water is sucked into a sealed vacuum by use of a piston. Can be Single action, Double action, Duplex or Twin.
Centrifugal Pumps
A basic type of pump where water is drawn into the pump and discharged with a centrifugal force.
Reciprocating Pumps
A type of piston pump that operate with controlled speed. The discharge is pulsating and changes only when the speed of the pump is changed.
Jet Pumps
A type of centrifugal pump which is typicaly used for drawing water up from a well.
Deep well Jet Pumps
A type of Jet Pump used in high volume applications.
Shallow well Jet Pumps
A type of Jet Pump used for residential wells.
Convertible Jet Pumps
A type of Jet Pump used for deep wells and shallow wells.
Miniature Jet Pumps
A type of Jet Pump used for small applications.
Rotary Pumps
A type of pistom pump that make use of pump driver. Can be discharged from 900 to 1200 GPM.
Submersible Pumps
This type of pumps are designed to be fully immersible within a tank or other mdeia storage receptacle.
Sump Pumps
This type of pumps are used in application where excess water mustbe pumped away from a particular area.
Turbine Pumps
A centrifugal type of pumps used for large applications because of their multiple impellers.
Overhead Tanks
A type of domestic tank that does not have any pressure concerns but relies on gravity to supply water to fixtures below.
Cisterns
A type of domestic tank that is usually built of reinforced concrete underground and connected with a pump.
Pressure Tanks
A type of domestic tank that stores a gas or liquid under pressure, often in conjunction with a pump and a pressure switch, to maintain consistent water pressure in a system.
Hot Water Tanks
A type of domestic tank that holds heated water for domestic or space heating use.
Gravity Supply Tanks
This type of tank is used in Overhead Feed System.
Pneumatic Water Tanks
This type of tank is used in the Air Pressure System.
Range Boiler
A type of Small hot water tank measures around 30-60 cm diameter and 180 cm max length. Standard working pressure limit is 85 to 150 psi.
Storage Boiler
A type of Large hot water tank measures around 60-130 cm in diameter and 5m max length. Standard working pressure limit is 65 to 100 psi.
