Visions escape host cell through:

-lysis (cell bursting and dies)

OR

-budding (cells does not burst, does not die)

Bacteriophage

Some viruses kill bacteria which are bacteriophage (phage)

-phage therapy: use of bacteria killing phage viruses to treat infections

Stages of Latency

1. Attachment- virus binds to best cell

2. Penetration- viral DNA or RNA enters best cell

3. Provirus created- combination of viral DNA and the host cell DNA

4. Host cell lives, reproduces- no new viruses

What about RNA viruses?
