D.C. v. Heller
D.C. made it illegal to carry any unregistered firearms and prohibited the registration of handguns. It also required registered firearms in a person's home to be kept unloaded, disassembled, and locked away. SCOTUS ruled 5-4 that this infringed on the 2nd Amendment and ruled in favor of Heller.
