Electoral College
A body of electors established by the Constitution, which formally selects the President and Vice President of the United States.
12th Amendment
An amendment to the Constitution that established separate Electoral College votes for President and Vice President, ratified in 1804.
Corrupt Bargain
The alleged deal between John Q. Adams and Henry Clay in the election of 1824 that resulted in Adams becoming President.
House of Representatives (HoR)
