Academic Deficiency Policy
A pre-business student may not go below a 3.0 GPA more than one semester and stay in the BBA degree.

If you earn a 2.99 GPA, it will not round up to a 3.0.
Baylor summer school requirement
If you have less than a 3.0 at the end of spring, you will have to take Baylor summer school in order to raise your GPA to a minimum 3.0 to take 3000-level and above business courses in the fall semester.
Transferring Credits and GPA
Yes - if you transfer in courses from another school, they do not impact your Baylor GPA.
Progression Standards completion
If you leave the BBA degree at the end of the fall semester, you must complete the Progression Standards by three semesters from the time you started in the BBA degree.
Future return to BBA degree
If you do not meet the Progression Standards by the end of your third semester in the BBA degree, you cannot return to the BBA degree in the future once you have met them.
General Policies on Transfer Credit
A grade of 'C' or better must be earned in all courses transferred to Baylor; this coursework does not alter the Baylor grade point average.
In fall and spring semesters, course credit will not be given for courses taken at other colleges or universities if a student is concurrently enrolled at Baylor University. During summer sessions, course credits can be earned at Baylor and other institutions as long as the total course load does not exceed 19 semester credit hours for the entire summer.

After matriculation (meaning after a student has enrolled at Baylor), a student may transfer a maximum of fifteen (15) semester hours to Baylor for degree credit.

During summer sessions, course credits can be earned at Baylor and other institutions as long as the total course load does not exceed 19 semester credit hours for the entire summer.
FERPA
The law that states that the student owns the rights to their academic records in college. The student must sign a FERPA form to allow their parents access to their information and grades.
ECT and ECR
Equivalent Course Tool and Equivalent Course Request. When taking a course outside of Baylor, you must look on the ECT to find a course equivalent to the one at Baylor. - if you can't find a course on the ECT that is equivalent, then you can fill out the ECR to have a course reviewed for equivalency to transfer into Baylor
ECR submission deadline
The deadline to submit courses to the ECR that you plan to take elsewhere in summer is May 15.

After the 12th class day, you must contact your Academic Advisor for help in dropping a class.
