Areas suitable for farming, manufacturing, and service activities are more populated
Social Factors affecting population distribution
Areas with better housing, education, and health facilities tend to be more populated
Cultural Factors affecting population distribution
Areas with religious or cultural significance tend to attract people
Economic Factors affecting population distribution
Industrial areas attract a large number of people

A change in the number of people during a specific time
Birth Rate
The number of live births per 1,000 people
Death Rate
The number of deaths per 1,000 people
Migration
The movement of people in and out of an area
Immigration
When a person enters a new country

When a person leaves a country
Population Composition
Helps us know how many males or females there are, their age group, education, occupations, income levels, and health conditions
Population Pyramid
A way of studying the population composition of a country, also called an age-sex pyramid
