The process that changes liquid to water vapour

Condensation

the process of which water vapor turns into water droplets

Precipitation

the process of where water from the atmosphere falls to the earth’s surface like rain , snow, hail, etc

Transpiration

The process of where water evaporates into the atmosphere through plants like leaves of a tree.

Infiltration

When water soaks in soil and moves into pores and the cracks of rocks or into the ground

Interception

When precipitation reaches the surface in vegetated areas, a certain percentage of it is intercepted by the vegetation

Percolation

The movement of water through soil

Surface Runoff / Overland Flow

the flow of water over a land's surface

Throughflow

the horizontal movement of water through soil layers

Groundwater Flow

The movement of water through subsurface layers of soil and rock within the earth's groundwater system

Through Fall

when precipitation  falls through vegetation

Surface Storage

A temporary body of water such as ponds, lakes or reservoirs

Soil Moisture

the water held within the pores of soil

Groundwater

the water stored beneath the earth's surface
