Focus Mode

Diffuse Mode

Working Memories

Long Term Memories
Memories that are not easy to change or forget; repetition turns short term memories into long term memories.

Chunking
A set of information grouped together, using only one working memory slot.
Bottom-up Learning
Learning through chunking information.
Top-down Learning
Considering the big picture of information.
Recall
A practice way to avoid the illusion of competence.

A neurotransmitter used to activate circuits to control synaptic plasticity, leading to new long-term memories.
Dopamine
Released when unexpected rewards are received, related to learning, decision making, sensory inputs, and future rewards.

A molecule linked to risk-taking behavior and social activity.

Triggers for habits, including location, time, feeling, and reaction.
Routine
Daily to-do list that aids in overcoming procrastination.
Rewards
Temporary happiness associated with completing tasks or avoiding work.
